Andrea’s work has graced the pages of US and international issues of Vogue, W, Interview, Self-Service, Dazed and LOVE Magazine. Andreaās training in fine art, experimental theater, and furniture design as well as years of film work all inform the sets she designs for fashion and art photographers and directors. She has worked on projects from the Nevada desert to Paris to South Africa and beyond, and loves her work because it takes her from high design and constructed sets to scavenging dusty thrift shops for the perfect prop.
Among the many artists she collaborates with are renowned photographers and directors including Lachlan Bailey, Fabien Baron, Philip-Lorca di Corcia, Steven Klein, Mert & Marcus, Barbara Probst, and Collier Schorr. Andrea has worked on advertising campaigns for Tom Ford, Versace, Dior, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Calvin Klein, Armani, Estee Lauder, LāOreal, and Lancome among many other fashion and beauty brands. Her film projects include the award-winning Boys Donāt Cry, Laurie Andersonās Hidden Inside Mountains, and Harmony Korineās Gummo.
Andreaās work pulls from her own practice as an artist focused on sculpture and drawing and her experiences living and traveling around the globe. Born to Jamaican and English parents, she grew up primarily in San Francisco where she attended art school and first encountered the world of theater and performance art. Her capacity for deep visual research and her hands-on understanding of construction give her special skill at creating built sets as well as handling detailed prop styling. Andrea splits her time between New York City and the Catskills.
