With a portfolio that bridges 1990s runway rigor and contemporary illustration finesse, illustrator Jacky Marshall—also known as Jacky Blue—has stepped into her most expansive collaboration yet: rebranding the iconic Harvey Nichols for its Spring/Summer 2025 campaign. Under the direction of Kate Phelan, the British fashion mainstay handed Marshall the keys to its visual universe—and she delivered a campaign bursting with color, movement, and mood.
Marshall’s hand-drawn figures—clad in silhouettes lifted from across Harvey Nichols’ roster of ready-to-wear and couture designers—are fluid, energetic, and full of joy. Her signature linework captures the essence of fashion without fuss, and her painterly palette plays with shape and emotion in equal measure. A cobalt suit topped with a blazing orange coat. A crimson dress rendered in bold, gestural strokes. The artwork doesn’t just echo the collection—it dances with it.
Beyond retail stores, billboards and window displays across London were washed in Marshall’s vibrant imagination, making Harvey Nichols feel more like an open-air gallery than a retailer. “The Calvin aesthetic has always been with me,” she reflects, recalling her early days sketching hundreds of black-on-white renderings for Calvin Klein and Donna Karan. That discipline still drives her: a dedication to line, form, and fearlessness.
When selecting looks to illustrate, Marshall trusted her gut—pulling from brands that felt right in her hands. Her muses? Marc Jacobs and COMME des GARÇONS, names as bold and shape-driven as her style.
