This year’s iconic Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, struck creative styling chords inspired by Black dandyism, fine tailoring, and diasporic visionaries. With a client list that reads like a power trio—Charli XCX, Lorde, and Regina King – Honey brought her knack for sharp detailing to the red carpet with three radically different looks.
From strong metallics to neutral essences, Honey’s work was a quiet force to be reckoned with. A darkened feather ensemble for Charli XCX was countered with neutral pinks, striking a juxtaposition to the singer’s rich ravenlike glamour. For Lorde, Honey took a retro yet romantic nail approach, adding in metallic flares against neutral nudes, enhancing the singer’s striking aura. Lastly, Regina King’s structural navy look was paired with forest and embellished greens.
From metallics to moody neutrals, Honey’s work this year at the 2025 Met Gala was steeped in symbolism, a story written through nails in motion.
