Honey manicures models for the MAC Cosmetics Limited-Edition Black Panther Collection! The line came out Wednesday, October 26th, 16 days before the Friday, November 11th premiere of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
Inspired by the resilience and power of the Wakandan warrior women, the 18-piece line is centered around jewel tones, matte finishes, and metallic shimmers. The packaging is thematic as well, featuring colors and patterns from the iconic Black Panther suit.
The action film is a sequel to the 2018 Marvel blockbuster ‘Black Panther’ and stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Tenoch Huerta, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett. Rather than re-cast the titular character in the wake of actor Chadwick Boseman’s tragic 2020 passing, the screenplay of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ was re-written to honor him and his profound legacy.
“Like the vibrant world of Wakanda, [the collaboration] features lavish, saturated hues that look fantastic on everyone — especially those with rich skin tones,” said Fatima Thomas, a senior artist at MAC Cosmetics. “I’m looking forward to creating looks for every occasion with this collection.”
