Two of our mom’s favorite Hollywood giants came together in the South of France for GQ’s recent issue. George Clooney and Brad Pitt spent a day walking around Pitt’s property in Château Miraval, chatting about being in their 60s and reminiscing about yesteryears. The two men are co-stars in the Apple-produced movie Wolfs (to be released in September) which comes 23 years after they shared the stage in Ocean’s Eleven, but Clooney and Pitt have remained close friends throughout the decades. With Clooney and Pitt’s chemistry and friendship, the free-style interview in GQ reads like a transcribed recording of an afternoon spent drinking beer while marveling at the growing grape vines, filled with banter and inside jokes. Accompanying the words are pictures not dissimilar to a couple’s photo shoot, as Clooney and Pitt wear matching fits and gaze into the camera side by side for the article’s cover image. On top of that, the two actors are caught sipping coffee in bed with vibrant pajamas, cruising the country roads in a motorcycle wearing matching striped sweaters (Brad Pitt in the sidecar), and Exposure NY’s George Cortina was the one that styled them for these shots. To match the atmosphere of the serene French villa, Cortina dressed Clooney and Pitt in colorful yet simple blazers, maintaining the actors’ classy character while taking on the vacation vibe. Cortina styled the actors in unique clothes for their single shots but gave them perfectly corresponding fits for group shots. It captured the resonance and relationship these two Hollywood giants have while still retaining their individuality.
