As a kickoff to the Grand Prix competition weekend the Deslaurier family hosted a cocktail event at their stables, located a stone’s throw from the Hampton Classic grounds. We were hosted by Lucy Deslauriers, a talented 24-year-old rider hailing from Bridgehampton, NY. Lucy, an Hermès partner rider, attended the University of Pennsylvania, and her remarkable accomplishments include helping the US team secure the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. As the daughter of Mario Deslauriers, an Olympian and World Cup champion, Lucy’s equestrian heritage shines through, making her a true icon in the sport. The cocktail party was hosted at the Deslauriers’ family residence and included demonstrations by a Hermès saddle craftsperson.
