Zara is pulling out every trick up their sleeve for “50 Years, 50 Icons,” a campaign brilliantly shot by photographic powerhouse Steven Meisel. Representing 50 supermodels in the campaign was a casting act that feels not only captivating, but groundbreaking. From 90’s icons like Christy Turlington Burns and Linda Evangelista, to modern day It-Girl’s like Amelia Gray Hamlin— DM Casting proved once again, they can pull off a dream roll call to champion the embrace of a global brand.
Shot in black-and-white noir, the models, singing along to the 70’s classic “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer’s, emphasize a nostalgic return to fashion’s present. With a reinstatement of Zara’s classic pieces— staple black t-shirts, structured “tuxedo dressing,” and languid silk slips— DM Casting’s lineup curated a truly infectious energy with a signature cinematic touch.
Regarded as a “class reunion” by Evangelista, Meisel’s Zara capsule is a masterclass in timelessness, fusing eras and icons into a singular, evocative frame. After a year of brand progressions, iconic collaborations, and concept-store openings, Zara inhibits a visual ode to the brand’s 50- year legacy: Zara is here, for good.
