For GQ’s September 2026 issue, photographer Danielle Levitt and fashion stylist George Cortina came together to collaborate and capture some of the musicians that are defining the sound and style of the moment. There are 11 artists featured including Katseye, Slayyyter, The Hellp, Mavi, Isaiah Rashad, Destin Conrad, Kehlani, Andrew Watt, Bella Kay, Miles Caton, and Snow Strippers.
Levitt uses her unique approach to photograph each artist with an intimate yet striking narrative that allows each personality to come through while still having a continuous visual story. Cortina complements Levitt’s approach by mixing luxury fashion with strong vintage pieces that create unexpected yet elevated results. Some designers she chose to represent are Gucci, Versace, Balenciaga, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Maison Margiela.
Both Levitt and Cortina worked together to create a result that feels authentic and unique to each artist. They didn’t want to force each artist into one aesthetic, instead the images reflect the individuality that represents GQ’s focus on musicians breaking away from predictable gamers. The outcome is a fashion story that not only captures the artists of 2026 but also the personal style and energy of the people who are shaping the new era of music.
