Stefan Beckman designed the runway set for Alexander Wang’s SS 2016 show!

This season at NYFW, all eyes were on Wang. After leaving esteemed fashion house Balenciaga after only 3 years, expectations were high for the 31-year old designer who was also celebrating the 10th anniversary of his namesake label. The collection had a number of classic Wang ideas, though, as WWD put it, “Wang didn’t want to rehash the past, not overtly, but asked himself what’s fresh and new. He answered with a collection of cool, dynamic, thoughtful clothes that felt especially relevant and real, and ultimately revealed the wisdom Wang has earned over his lightning rod career.” From denim to leather, androgyny to femininity, the show was a culmination of Wang’s career.

Aside from the clothing, the highlight of the show was the “best of” video, of sorts, put together and projected on the runway with some of the designer’s most memorable moments from the last 10 years.
